Students, faculty, and campus ministries are invited to join us on Friday afternoons for our Lunch & Learns.
On Friday, March 27, come grab lunch and discuss our identity exchange and living as children of God with guest speaker Tim Dameron at 1:30 p.m.
All guests may attend free of charge without registering.
The community is invited to join us at the East Carolina Study Center for a free dinner and then talk with Dr. Molly Worthen as she speaks and answers questions focused on how she became a Christian, her faith and reason in the academy.
This is an interview-style event where Molly will be answering previously submitted questions.
Dinner will be served first, followed by speaker/ discussion

Career Bio: Dr. Sunghan Kim joined ECU in 2012 after completing three years of post-doctoral training at the UCLA Neurosurgery department as a biomedical engineer. Since then, he has been teaching biomedical and electrical engineering courses. His research focuses on understanding the relation between cognitive declines and the brain’s functional connectivity by analyzing EEG signals. His research lab, BEACoN Lab., carries out various cognitive neuroscience research projects involving ECU students and even local high school students.
Join us three different Fridays in January for a lunch and learn series, as we hear from a variety of individuals on how we can better interact with non-Christians. Lunch will be provided and no registration is needed!

Come study for finals and eat pancakes at the East Carolina Study Center on Tuesday, December 9. We start preparing pancakes in the mornign and go until we run out. This event is free and open to students at ECU and PCC. No registration needed, just come as you are and spend the day with us!
We are excited to announce our 3rd Annual Student Org fundraising event for the East Carolina Study Center this fall. The Cornhole tournament will be on Friday, November 21, starting at 5:00 p.m. and is open to both students and the community.
Dr. Jason Tovey is a counselor and pastor, who loves helping people discover their true identity in Christ. He and his wife have been married for over 24 years and are raising five kids. He has also hosted conversations on The Living Rooted Podcast, offering encouragement and practical hope for everyday faith. Join us for a Seminar Series with him to discuss, “Who You Really Are: Finding Your True Identity”.
Come prepared to dance, eat and build communities with other ministries on Halloween from 6-10:00 p.m. This year we are adding new competitions and gift card prizes! Join us for a chili cook-off, costume contest, dancing and games! Registration: $10 per person!
An Evening of Gospel-centered encouragement for college-aged men seeking help in the battle for purity. Free dinner provided and resources available for purchase.
You're invited to a special evening celebrating all the Lord has done through the East Carolina Study Center over the past three years. Join us for a casual dinner under our “Big Tent” as we welcome new families, connect with churches, alumni, and local leaders, and share the growing vision of ECSC. This celebration is an opportunity to learn how you can be part of what God is doing, as we prayerfully launch into our fourth year of ministry.
Dr. Robert Quinn of East Carolina University will be discussing "Creation, Restoration, Beauty and Artistry" with the students of EC Study Center on September 8. This is a free event for anyone who would like to attend!
Encounter is a FREE first-year orientation experience for incoming freshmen at ECU and PCC who know or are seeking to know Jesus Christ. It is an opportunity for students to build friendships and be welcomed into the Christian community. Enjoy a home cooked meal, outdoor games, and get connected with other classmates!
Mark J. Cherry is the Dr. Patricia A. Hayes Professor in Applied Ethics and Professor of Philosophy at St. Edward’s University, Austin, Texas. He earned his undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of Houston and his doctorate degree in philosophy from Rice University in Houston, Texas. His research compasses ethics and bioethics, together with social and political philosophy.
ECSC is proud to welcome Dr. Toyin Babatunde as a guest speaker for our Seminar Series. She has been in the field of dietetics and nutrition for over 35 years and has been a nutrition educator teaching at the college level since 2003. Before academia, she practiced as a clinical and community dietitian and nutritionist in her native country, Nigeria, the Caribbean islands of Jamaica, and the Bahamas.
